Part 97: Interregnum

Interregnum
King Bel Riose III showed an unusual ability among Ankist Rulers: he was able to ride the wave of support from his counselors without letting them become too powerful. He is largely remembered as a man of firm resolve but soft hand. It is maybe this talent for both strictness and compassion that allowed his fleet to reach the distant shores of the long lost Salaan remnants.


Bel Riose III's motto is If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Our new ruler is going to be a blast from the past: King Harald VI!

EDIT: as an addendum, I was having a look and out of 11 recent rulers:

• 6 have died on the throne;
  
• 3 were forced to abdicate by their powerful allies;
  
• 2 were overthrown by an angry mob.
